JinkoSolar has announced an agreement to supply 12 units of its utility-scale two-hour duration liquid cooled BESS SunTera G2 with a total capacity of 60MWh to Yangzhou Tairun for its solar-plus-storage project located in Gaoyou city, China.
SunTera, is well known for its uniquely advanced liquid cooling system that can control the temperature difference inside the cabinet within 2 degrees Celsius, 1 degree lower than the industry standard, which minimizes the battery-between-battery mismatch die to uneven temperature, that results in slower battery degradation, the prolonged life cycle of 8,000-10,000 times, more energy discharging with DC side RTE of 94%-95%, more importantly higher level of safety.
Its up-to-date safety feature and smart O&M have met the customer’s “strict technical specifications”. To safeguard the overall safety and prolong the system’s lifetime, the liquid cooled ESS also provides intelligent and multi-level monitoring devices and mass sensors that can earlier and accurately detect any abnormal cells or performance locations in advance.
With an A/B design that supports side-to-side or back-to-back installation, coupled with a high energy density, SunTera’s overall size and offering can reduce land and logistics costs. Also, this pre-assembled and pre-tested BESS equipment is almost play-and-plug, and only needs connected wiring, so that it can be easily and fast installed.
In Gaoyou city, the noise level of less than 75dB is another key reason JinkoSolar says it was selected, as the project is located near a residential area.
