Hithium Wins 640MWh Energy Storage Order in Australia

According to Official Account @EnergyStorage001, Hithium, which has just released a new product, is back with new news, as the company signed an order for a 640MWh energy storage system.


According to PR Newswire, Hithium announced the supply of a 640MWh energy storage system to Lightsource bp, a global leader in utility development and management, for the Woolooga BESS project.


In addition, Hithium has partnered with INTEC Energy Solutions to provide operations and maintenance services for the Woolooga BESS Stage 1 project. This project will enhance renewable energy integration in Australia.


The Woolooga BESS project is understood to have a total storage capacity of 222MW/640MWh and will utilize 128 containers of a 5MWh battery storage system based on Hithium's 314Ah cells.The Woolooga BESS is claimed to be the industry's first 5MWh BESS deployed in Australia and comes with a 25-year warranty.


Unlike conventional power supply projects, this project prioritizes optimizing grid loads and enhancing the role of energy storage systems in renewable energy generation, which is critical for grid flexibility and renewable energy grid integration.


Just a few days ago, Hithium globally debuted its ∞Power 6.25MWh 2h/4h time-customized high-capacity energy storage system, the first sodium-ion battery dedicated to power storage ∞Cell N162Ah, and the installation-free home microgrid system HeroES, three innovative products.
